The Castro Family Community Leaders Endowment, created by Mrs. Mary Castro in 2025 in honor of her cherished husband, Dr. Joseph I. Castro—a proud two-time UC Berkeley alumnus—provides sustained support for initiatives that foster leadership excellence and reflect the mission of the Chicanx Latinx Student Development Office. It empowers students who are deeply committed to their community, helping them grow as leaders and achieve lasting impact.
