David Minkus spent over 30 years training and mentoring graduate students at UC Berkeley, directly contributing to the success of at least 240 graduate students — most of them students of color and/or first-generation college students. The Institute for the Study of Societal Issues carries on his legacy through the ISSI Graduate Fellows Program, providing training and financial support to an interdisciplinary cohort of students engaged in social change scholarship.
