The Berkeley Research Impact Fund provides a flexible source of support for projects that are currently underway, including through a new Research Opportunity Program. Resources are allocated at the discretion of Chancellor Rich Lyons, Vice Chancellor for Research Kathy Yelick, and Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Ben Hermalin, to ensure critical research advances during a time when the funding landscape is shifting.
