Edelman was the Agnes Roddy Robb Professor of Law and Professor of Sociology at UC Berkeley. She served as the director of the Center for the Study of Law and Society as well as the chair and associate dean for Jurisprudence and Social Policy and Legal Studies. Beyond Berkeley, Edelman’s many honors included being a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and president of the Law and Society Association.
Edelman was an integral and extraordinary member of the Berkeley Law faculty for so many years. We will miss her deeply.
