The NAVCAL program assists incoming nontraditional students in navigating the University of California, Berkeley campus through a near-peer/student-to-student approach wherein current students coach and mentor incoming ones; and pass down their own knowledge and experience to help incoming students adjust themselves to higher education. NAVCAL focuses on:
Cohort building and communication coaching
Peer mentorship and leadership development
Skill-building and resource navigation
Support for academic and career success
