This endowment was created to honor the legacy of the late Helen Mineta, whose compassionate advocacy, courageous leadership, and gentle mentorship made a profound impact on the lives of her colleagues, students, family, and friends. For more than 30 years, Mineta inspired many as both a teacher and a civil rights advocate. The Helen Mineta Fund for Asian American Student Development supports the promotion of a deeper understanding of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues on campus.
In order to preserve the spirit of the purpose of the fund, and the intent of the original donors who established it, new donors who make gifts to this endowment understand that changes may be made to the fund in the future if it ever becomes difficult to spend. Any future changes will be consistent with the original purpose as written here. As such, new donors agree upon making their gifts that any future potential change to the endowment purpose may be made without their consultation.
Thank you for supporting the Helen Mineta Fund for Asian American Student Development! Your gift will help support the promotion of a deeper understanding of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) issues on campus.
