UC Berkeley Food Pantry & Basic Needs Security

The 2016 UC Food Access & Security Study confirmed that 38% of UC Berkeley students (N=775) were food insecure, 50.1% of Undergraduate, and 21.5% of Graduate Participants. This is consistent with the UC System 42% food insecurity index (N=8,932), 48% of Undergraduate, and 25% of Graduate participants. The bay area extreme costs of living are having a detrimental impact on the basic needs of our students. Your contribution will support our efforts to make UC Berkeley Basic Needs Secure. Our efforts include CalFresh, crisis resolution, food pantry, food assistance program, skills teaching/workshops, campus farm and gardens, and more. Thank you for helping us end hunger, malnourishment, and homelessness!
