Your gift makes a difference
The Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH) provides training, research, and outreach to protect the health of workers and communities. COEH promotes safe and healthy environments for everyone to work and live in by training future experts, conducting research, providing evidence for policies and best practices, and partnering with industry, labor, and government organizations.
This endowed fellowship fund was established through the generosity of Professor Emeritus David Rempel MD, MPH, and his wife, Gail Bateson. Professor Rempel started the UC Ergonomics Program in 1991 and has been a longtime teacher, researcher, and consultant in the field of ergonomics.
In order to preserve the spirit of the purpose of the fund, and the intent of the original donors who established it, new donors who make gifts to this endowment understand that changes may be made to the fund in the future if it ever becomes difficult to spend. Any future changes will be consistent with the original purpose as written here. As such, new donors agree upon making their gifts that any future potential change to the endowment purpose may be made without their consultation.
Your gift to the David M. Rempel Endowed Fellowship Fund provides critical student support needed to foster the next generation of occupational safety and health professionals.
