Your gift makes a difference
Your contribution supports graduate and undergraduate student training and education; outreach events during Cal Day, Darwin Day, and Homecoming; and the curation, digitization, and care of the world’s largest collection of California insects and spiders. Cal students, staff, and faculty along with local and international colleagues use Essig Museum specimens to describe new species, reconstruct evolutionary histories, track the movement of pests, and investigate the impacts of land use, climate, and other environmental changes on arthropod distributions over the past 100 years.
