Creating an Unprecedented Home of Inclusivity

Known for its diversity in students and thinking, UC Berkeley is a place where the brightest minds come together for transformational change. The Inclusive Excellence Hub is the first campus-wide community hub exclusively dedicated to increasing academic excellence through diversity and belonging by housing transformational programs that lead the nation in inclusivity.

Innovative Programming for Change

The Hub is a vibrant, inclusive space, where students historically underrepresented in higher education can find camaraderie and build multi-disciplinary networks of their peers through innovative programming. In this space, programs focused on strengthening diversity are located next to in-house faculty advisors and mentors who can help guide students through their academic journey. In response to social injustices and racial unrest, the Graduate Division has developed a set of concrete efforts to advance us toward becoming the antiracist, truly inclusive institution we need to be. The changes in campus climate that we create will serve as a model for institutions around the country.
