Your gift makes a difference
The Center for the Study of Law & Society (CSLS) supports theoretically based, empirical research on the interplay of law and society in contemporary and historical contexts. It fosters research on the social consequences of law and its impact on individuals and groups, including work on inequality, criminal justice, and democracy and civil society. Founded in 1961, CSLS was the first university-based center for sociolegal research, and it is a global home for the multidisciplinary study of law and society. Your contributions to the Center on its 65th Anniversary enable it to support graduate students through fellowships and research grants; host visiting scholars from around the world; and bring prominent interdisciplinary scholars to speak at CSLS.
