The Center for Southeast Asia Studies Gift Fund

Gifts to CSEAS are used to support public programs, such as lecture series and conferences that bring academics, politicians, artists, public intellectuals and others to campus to present new research and to meet with faculty and students. Gifts also help fund summer grants for Berkeley students to travel to Southeast Asia to conduct their own research projects and deepen their foreign language abilities. Over the longer term, CSEAS hopes to raise funds for postdoctoral fellowships that will bring even greater diversity in ideas and backgrounds to the campus from around the U.S. and Southeast Asia.
