Your gift makes a difference
Your support allows the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) to thrive as a place where students, faculty, and the engaged public pursue a better understanding of the Middle East and North Africa: its richness, diversity, and connection to the world. We provide grants and other support for students, faculty, and visiting scholars; host lectures, film series, art exhibits, conferences, and innovative workshops; and partner with local, national, and international educational and nonprofit institutions and businesses to provide accessible public and academic programming about the region.
CMES is home to the Kühn Initiative for Post-Conflict Development Studies, which supports research devoted to the study of the economic and agricultural development of societies emerging from military and civil conflict.
CMES is also home to the Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens Memorial Program and Scholarship, which supports undergraduate and graduate student language study and research in the Middle East and North Africa.
Gifts supporting these programs, and all of CMES's academic and public outreach mission, can be made through this site.
