The Center for Unmet Rare and Emerging Diseases (CURED) Fund

At the Center for Unmet, Rare, and Emerging Diseases (CURED), we are taking a new approach to health science. Instead of applying an existing technology to a single disease, we are inspired by Berkeley's past successes innovating disruptive technologies that radically change the approach to multiple diseases. Rather than addressing individual diseases one by one, CURED researchers are creating new technologies that have broad impacts across many diseases long neglected by profit-driven medicine. CURED will shift this paradigm with discovery-based science and social responsibility to find equitable cures for human diseases.
