The Berkeley Liberty Initiative, a program of the Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science, brings to campus high-profile intellectual leaders whose scholarship focuses on the ideal of freedom. The initiative’s annual lecture has presented such accomplished speakers as Dr. Arthur C. Brooks, American Enterprise Institute, and Greg Lukianoff, president and CEO of the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) and author of Freedom from Speech.
