Your gift makes a difference

The Center of Occupational and Environmental Health (COEH), established by Dr. Robert Spear in 1978, provides training, research, and outreach to protect the health of workers and communities. COEH promotes safe and healthy environments for everyone to work and live in by training future experts, conducting research, providing evidence for policies and best practices, and partnering with industry, labor, and government organizations.

This internship support fund was established to honor Dr. Spear and to foster the next generation of occupational safety and health professionals. The Robert C. Spear Internship provides opportunities to facilitate worker health in global supply changes and national industries. Interns help workers to advocate for their health and safety, and facilitate connections to labor and community-based organizations.
