Cybersecurity clinics provide pro bono digital security services to under-resourced organizations —including nonprofits, local governments, and small businesses — while training a diverse next generation of students through hands-on experiential learning on the front lines of “Cyber Civil Defense”. The Consortium provides the essential infrastructure required to scale clinical service and education by:

  • Lowering Barriers to Entry: Developing and maintaining toolkits that help new colleges, universities, and community colleges launch and operate clinics effectively.
  • Global Resource Coordination: Managing the professional staff and digital platforms that enable our 60+ member clinics to share curricula, best practices, and empirical research that validates the clinic model and improves community digital resilience.
  • Expanding Strategic Reach: Coordinating the cross-sector partnerships, research, and advocacy required to meet the goal of a cybersecurity clinic in every U.S. state by 2030 - and continued expansion of the model worldwide.

In just five years, the Consortium has grown 10-fold to over 60 clinics in eight countries across five continents, training 3,700+ students and supporting 900+ community organizations.
