The BCSP focuses on four pillars of work: Through basic science research, the BCSP obtains insights into how brain function is affected by psychedelics, including the relationships among the brain, the mind, emotion, and consciousness. Its credible journalism sheds light on the complexities of psychedelic research, culture, business, and policy through a free bi-weekly newsletter, an award-winning podcast, and fellowship programs. The Center creates and shares rigorous, accessible, and relevant applied research and policy material, particularly for decision-makers at the state and local levels, including the UC Berkeley Psychedelics Survey. The BCSP is committed to educating and connecting people from all walks of life through its culture and community programs, events, courses, and lectures, which serve as a vital resource for knowledge about psychedelics for the public and the public good.
