Support for Re-entry Students: Empowering a Diverse and Driven Community

At UC Berkeley, approximately 1,500 undergraduate re-entry students are charting their own paths toward academic and professional success. These students are not just pursuing a degree; they are balancing multiple, often competing, responsibilities, from caring for children and dependents, to managing part- or full-time jobs, and navigating financial pressures. Despite these challenges, they remain incredibly motivated and invested in achieving their goals.

The Re-entry Student Program is a lifeline for these students, providing holistic support that addresses their unique needs. Through counseling, academic resources, and community-building opportunities, we help these individuals thrive both personally and academically.

Re-entry students bring invaluable life experience, diverse perspectives, and a deep sense of purpose to the Berkeley campus. Their passion and resilience not only enrich their own educational journeys, but also have a powerful and positive impact on the entire Cal community. By supporting the Re-entry Student Program, you are investing in a dynamic group of individuals who are poised to make meaningful contributions to society, both during their time at Berkeley and far beyond.
