The Division of Data Sciences Program Fund

Make a gift to the Berkeley Division of Data Sciences Program Fund

With the creation of the Division of Data Sciences and the appointment of Interim Dean David E. Culler, Berkeley has further solidified its position at the forefront of data science research and education.

The Division of Data Sciences was created to deepen and integrate the university's multidisciplinary strengths in this area, supporting and accelerating data science transformations now underway. Data-intensive, computational, and inferential education, research, and innovation are powering conceptual and technological breakthroughs, enabling new modes of academic discovery, and offering new paths for addressing the world's most urgent societal challenges. Berkeley's deep strength in the data sciences derives from its world-leading researchers, educators, programs, and institutes across a diverse array of domains.

Your commitment and support will provide much needed flexible resources to expand educational coursework, pathbreaking research, and related activities within the Division - from supporting faculty in the creation of new courses to expanding the technical platforms used by our students, from seeding new integrative research endeavors to advancing social impact and diversity - every contribution makes an immediate, positive impact.

We thank you for your consideration of support - which will enable further discovery, innovation, and learning within the Division.

The Berkeley Division of Data Sciences Program Fund is administered in the Division of Data Sciences and the university's Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost's (EVCP) office at UC Berkeley.
