Berkeley’s C. V. Starr East Asian Library contains one of the most comprehensive collections of materials in East Asian languages in the United States. Its combined holdings, totaling over one million volumes in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other East Asian languages, making it one of the top two such collections in the United States outside of the Library of Congress.

This fund supports the C. V. Starr East Asian Library's programs and collections at the Library at the University of California, Berkeley.

Opened in 2008, the library is currently celebrating its Tenth Anniversary. The East Asian Library fund supports the programs and collections in service to the library's mission: helping current and future users find, evaluate, use and create knowledge from and about China, Japan and Korea to better the world.
