Sparking Transformative Research
The Center for Race & Gender (CRG) is an interdisciplinary research center that is a core hub for critical research on race, gender, and their intersections. Launched as a result of the 1999 Ethnic Studies student movement, the CRG is an epicenter for students, faculty, researchers, organizers, and artists to collaborate and explore emerging research areas and develop intersectional, creative, and community-engaged intellectual projects.
The CRG advances cutting edge scholarship through the production of original publications, a multimedia platform, and symposia, conference, and research institutes that challenge scholars to innovate and build together. The CRG also prioritizes student research and intellectual advancement by providing research and creative project grants, supporting research working groups, and organizing biweekly forums to spotlight developing work.
